About Susan:
Susan has been active in the garden field for over 25 years. She delights in making gardening information simple, easy, fun and accessible. She is especially interested in helping gardeners create landscapes that incorporate food and ornamental plants into designs that are a feast for the eye as well as productive.

She is currently horticultural editor at National Gardening Association, where she writes the New England Regional News and the National News for the Regional Reports Newsletter and provides horticultural consultation to National Garden Association programs.

Susan has been horticulturist for National Gardening Magazine, worked as ornamental horticulturist for the Vermont Extension Service, worked in both the retail and wholesale nursery industries and done freelance garden writing projects for a number of garden organizations and businesses.
